Worker was nice and our desserts were refreshing. I love the cute atmosphere of the place. It was clean and there was a big orange tree and a mummy mouse by the register. It was a nice pit stop for dessert.

I really liked this boba shop! I've been by a few times and always very happy with my drinks. The tea has a very crisp and fresh flavour without being too strong, and the sweetness at 30% is a very nice amount. I also really like their taro ball toppings (probably the eponymous speciality haha) and always try to order that. The environment is very clean and spacious, but every time I've gone, there's only been ever been one or two other people there.

Newly opened now in the Industry/Rowland Heights area which is surprisingly not as crowded as I thought. Their specialty is taro balls (boba balls made from taro) and taro smoothie/drinks. They are very popular in Taiwan and are just getting their feet into the US market. I tried everything on my recent visit and they tasted great, however there are a few problems I am hoping they can fix: 1) You can order from the counter and also touch-screen. I believe the store wants most to order from the touch-screen but there are no options to choose the level of sweetness and amount of ice in your drinks. 2) Behind the counter there are no posted menus, only paper ones but limited prints so if you don't know how to navigate their touch-screen or technically-challenged then you won't know what to order 3) Price is cheaper compared to another taro specialty drink store but portions are a lot smaller. Also the taro balls had no flavors if you get shaved ice or dessert, however the taro drinks are really delicious. 4) The taiyaki is really good! It's a taro place that makes really good taiyaki!

This place was quite good and comparable to Meet Fresh! We ordered the grass jelly house specialty(iced) no. 3, house hot grass jelly soup, one custard and one taro taiyaki. My favorite was the house hot grass jelly soup. Like the other reviews have mentioned, they were surprisingly understaffed for a weekend, but we weren’t waiting for long.

Recently opened desert/drink spot in the old Happy Lemon location. Ordered the Nice 2 Meet u drink, prepared quickly and tasted good. Taro tasted decent as well as the other toppings, on the heavier side for a drink but work a try

Super cute boba spot thats great for hanging out or studying. The space felt bright, clean, and welcoming. When you enter, you place your order at the kiosk and wait for your number to be called. I had the jasmine milk tea with boba. While I thought the boba was good, the tea tasted watered down :/ same with the oolong milk tea. I also tried their custard taiyaki and it was a nice treat!

We tried the Grass Jelly House Specialties #3, taiyaki, and oolong milk tea. Everything was good, but the ice in the house special was clumpy, and it wasn’t as sweet as I would have liked.

Nestled in the heart of City of Industry, Taro Yuan brings a fresh wave of Taiwanese-inspired desserts and drinks to California’s vibrant boba scene. This cozy spot, located at 18246 Gale Ave A, has quickly won over fans with its inviting atmosphere—complete with a charming orange tree and playful decorations that add a warm, whimsical touch to the space.

The star of the menu here is unmistakably the taro ball, a nostalgic treat made from taro root that carries a delicate sweetness and chewy texture. Taro Yuan not only excels in crafting these signature boba pearls but also serves them in a variety of forms—from classic taro smoothies to shaved ice and taiyaki, a fish-shaped pastry filled with taro or custard. Their taiyaki, in particular, stands out as a must-try item, delivering a satisfying crunch and rich filling that echoes authentic Taiwanese flavors.

Drink offerings emphasize a clean, crisp tea base, allowing the natural flavors to shine without overwhelming sweetness. The option to customize sweetness at around 30% strikes a harmonious balance, pleasing those who appreciate subtlety over sugary intensity. This nuance is key in showcasing the quality of the tea and the unique texture of toppings like taro balls and grass jelly.

Although Taro Yuan boasts a generally quiet and spacious environment, its staff remain warm and attentive, adding to a calm, unhurried vibe that’s perfect for a relaxed dessert pit stop. Some customers have noted that ordering can be a bit tricky due to limited menu displays and touchscreen ordering options that lack full customization features, but the friendly service and consistency of flavors make up for minor inconveniences.

Overall, Taro Yuan impresses with its authentic taro-centered creations, clean presentation, and a cozy yet modern setting. For anyone seeking a genuine Taiwan dessert experience paired with fresh, well-balanced drinks, this charming shop offers a delightful escape from the usual boba routine.
